We embed translation skills strongly in our undergraduate language modules, covering translation into and out of English, interpreting and subtitling, and students can choose to specialise in translation with dedicated specialist modules in final year.
At Masters level, we offer an MA in Chinese-English Bilingual Translation and Interpreting, and you can also study translation-related research through our MRes in Translation which allows you to pursue an extended creative-critical project or an academic dissertation in translation studies. Our MA in Translation will launch in Autumn 2024, which will cover up to two languages from: Arabic, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Research
Research theses can be supervised in any area of Translation Studies, but we particularly welcome projects that complement our interest in the multiple intersections between language, media, and identity.
