Apply for the Enterprise Investment Fund

Staff are invited to apply now for the next round of the University Enterprise Investment Fund. Awards of up to £100,000 are available to de-risk technologies or explore commercial opportunities developed at the University for commercialisation projects which typically lead to a licence deal or spin-out. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 27 November.

The Enterprise Investment Fund has a total budget of £500,000 to award to University commercialisation projects for 2018/19. The fund supports activities after completion of the research stage and when the University believes that the project is ready for the commercialisation phase.

The funds will support projects at any stage of development and with any planned route to market, typically:

  • licensing intellectual property to existing companies
  • establishing new spin-out companies
  • consulting activities with the potential to scale-up collaborative research programmes with industry.

The fund is being administered by the Intellectual Property (IP) Commercialisation Team within Research, Partnerships and Innovation and the team will provide support for anyone wanting to make an application.
