Our teams at the University are driving change, from a £1,000 charity walk to royal recognition for widening access.

Going the extra mile

The Development and Alumni Relations Team completed a 12‑mile walk along the Wirral Way to raise £1,000 for the Student Fund. In response to rising living costs, their efforts supported students facing financial hardship to remain in education and fully engage with university life.

The team works closely with the scholarships team to ensure that your donations support students who need it most.

Liverpool scholarships team receive royal recognition

Members of the University’s scholarships team, whose work ensures students have the opportunity to go to university, whatever their background, were invited to Buckingham Palace to attend a special Education and Skills Garden Party hosted by His Majesty King Charles. The team was recognised by the Department for Education for significantly improving the lives of young people through education, made possible by your donations to the Student Fund.
