The Technician Commitment has launched a new podcast, hosted by University of Liverpool Senior IT and AV Technician Michael Bayliss, alongside Charli Corcoran, Lead Animal Care Technician in the Institute of Aquaculture at University of Stirling.

Michael manages and facilitates the media production facilities at 1–7 Abercrombie Square, supporting both staff and students in the development of high-quality media and podcast content. He delivers teaching and practical training across a range of areas including video editing, studio production, audio engineering, and broadcast skills, helping students develop industry-relevant technical and creative expertise.
In addition to supporting teaching across multiple modules, Michael has recently taken on the supervision and mentoring of T Level students in Media, Broadcast and Production, providing hands-on experience in professional studio environments.
Alongside co-hosting the Technician Commitment podcast, Michael is also responsible for editing and producing the series. In addition, he offers technical and creative support for a range of podcast projects including Original Ideas Podcast and Between 2 Ovaries.
New episodes of the Technician Commitment podcast are released every few weeks on Spotify, YouTube and the Technician Commitment website.
