Become a member of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Sustainability Research (ICSR)
We are seeking members from external and internal stakeholders with an interest in using interdisciplinary methods to tackle the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Non-academic and academic colleagues with an interest and commitment to the ICSR vision are eligible to become members. If you are interested, please get in touch.
Benefits of membership
Being a member means your name, position and contact details and research interest will be held in a database managed by the ICSR. You will be added to the mailing list and receive updates on Centre activity and related news and opportunities.
The ICSR can, where appropriate, facilitate access to a range of research development, partnership and impact support including, but not limited to:
- Promotion of your interdisciplinary SDG research via our website, social media, and University news channels
- Endorsement of interdisciplinary activities
- Providing access to a growing network of interdisciplinary researchers and introductions to potential partners and collaborators
- An events programme comprising workshops and sandpits designed to stimulate interdisciplinary collaborations.
Responsibilities of members
We ask that all members have a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and a drive to address the UN SDGs. This might be expressed in several ways:
- Active participation in ICSR workshops and sandpits with a commitment to research focused activity through collaborations and engaging in funding activity
- Openness to collaboration across the ICSR research community
- Sharing good news stories to be disseminated via the ICSR communications channels
- Promote the centre’s activities and also shared learning about interdisciplinary working across research areas.
Membership is granted for a two-year period, after which the status needs to be renewed.
