University facilities
The University of Liverpool offers a range of facilities for our SLSA conference delegates, ensuring that your experience at the University is both enjoyable and accommodating.
Childcare
Kids In Bloom at University Of Liverpool Nursery is registered for 100 children from 0-5 years. Each room is designated to specific age groups in order to maximise all vital aspects of development of each individual child.
Alternatively, the city has a range of childminders that you may want to contact directly. You can find a list of approved childminders in Liverpool on the Liverpool Council website.
Breast feeding and baby changing facilities
The University has a range of breast-feeding areas and baby changing facilities. We are a member of the Liverpool Mayor's Breastfeeding Charter (bambis), which promotes the right of women to breastfeed in public.

Faith facilities
The University has connections to local faith facilities and also offers some onsite facilities. You can find a full detailed list of the different facilities available on the Faith Facilities web page.
Sports facilities
The University Sports and Fitness Centre, located in the central area of the campus, will be open and available for members to access. They offer a special deal for conference delegates, enabling you to use the facilities for the duration of the conference. Please note the you must retain and show your receipt upon entry each time.
SLSA conference members can pay a one-off fee of £5 directly at the Sports Centre. Please keep your receipt as proof of purchase, and you can go back to use the gym as many times as you like.
The Sports Centre offers a fully functioning gym, swimming pool, basketball, badminton and squash courts, as well as climbing and bouldering wall, among other facilities. For a full list, please visit the Sport Liverpool web pages.
