Culture Unconfined

The University of Liverpool has created Culture Unconfined as a civic-led response to the Covid-19 crisis.

Cultural activity has emerged as a positive reaction that challenges isolation, maintains communities, and upholds the cultural sector. However, these times are particularly difficult for cultural and creative sectors who have lost revenue, the opportunity to perform and who now wonder what the future may hold.

It is critical that we all do what we can to promote the availability of cultural content not just through financial support but to ensure our dramatists, poets, musicians and filmmakers know that we are engaging with them and that we value their contribution to emotional well-being, knowledge, humour and the overall social good.

Culture Unconfined brings together inspiring cultural activity that is drawn from the creative spaces of film, drama, music, and poetry from across the UK and Ireland.
