Work Experience

The University offers many exciting ways in which you can gain work experience and learn new skills, which will appeal to an employer and help you to stand out when applying for graduate jobs.

There are many ways to improve your CV whilst studying at University. You could get a part time job, help to run a society or join a sports team. Also taking part in a placement or internship can give you great experience and can direct you towards the right career path. Having additional skills and experience can show potential employers that you are a great candidate for a graduate job. 

The Careers and Employability Service can help you find internships and jobs, as well as helping you with any applications. Alternatively you can speak to your academic advisor for advice. 

The Department of Mathematical Sciences has links with businesses in Liverpool who offer internships. We run summer in-house internships which give you a great chance to solve real-work problems.
