Placements
The School of Law and Social Justice placement scheme is open to undergraduate students in Years 2 and 3, offering valuable opportunities to build skills and gain practical experience alongside your studies. We also support postgraduate students who are looking to enhance their employability, working in partnership with the Liverpool Doctoral College placement scheme.
Our extra-curricular placements tend to take place over the summer break, but can be arranged throughout the year depending on the requirements of the organisation that is offering the placement.
Placement providers range from local, national and international employers including firms of solicitors, legal departments and non-law organisations like charities, voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) and other third sector employers.
The placement not only enhanced my employability skills but also introduced me to shipping law, an area I had no prior experience in. Having spent a month with the legal team at the BW Group (Singapore) and having conducted some of my own research, I believe I will attempt to pursue a career in shipping law and for that, I am grateful.
