Representation

MVR interrogates representations of the Colombian conflict, and in particular, gender and identity-based violence – and resistance.

MVR fosters re-presentation of overlooked victims by encouraging artistic, academic, and grassroots co-production, offering opportunities to reflect in ‘A Museum for Me’ workshops; it facilitates the re-casting of ‘official’ narrative by lending support to community human rights archives in its project ‘ArchiCom’; and it provides a platform for silenced voices and stories in its podcast #IrradiandoPaz

Likewise, it is a frequent participant and collaborator in third-party events, in order to share MVR research findings and community impacts with academic and non-academic audiences alike. Moreover, MVR hosts its own virtual museum, where grassroots organisations, artists, and individuals claim digital space to tell stories of repression and resistance, to be seen and heard.
