Curious about the diverse linguistic panorama in Spain? Join us for a Galician language taster session, where you’ll get a friendly, hands-on introduction to Galician pronunciation, basic phrases, and cultural context. Galician (galego) is a Romance language spoken in the autonomous community of Galicia, in northwest Spain. With deep historical roots and close ties to both Spanish and Portuguese, it offers a fascinating case study in language contact, identity, and regional culture.
No previous knowledge is required for this taster: just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try something new! Whether you're studying linguistics, Spanish, Portuguese, or just love discovering new languages, this is a great opportunity to engage with a minority (and minoritised) language with loads to offer!
