ULMS 589 - Managing in a Global Context
The main aim of the module is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of management practices in a global context. Specifically, this module aims to: Enable students to identify opportunities and challenges facing global managers today; Critically understand the importance of cultural differences for management and develop skills and competencies to manage effectively across cultures; Critically analyse the strategic role of global human resource management and the effective management of global human resource management activities (e.g., the management of international assignments); Critically understand the strengths and drawbacks of global diverse teams and develop skills on how to facilitate global team effectiveness.
