ULMS 563 - Sustainable Innovations for Societal Value
This module aims to: Provide students with a deep understanding of how sustainable innovation can address global challenges, fostering the development of new solutions that balance economic, social, and environmental factors; Prepare students for leadership roles in sustainability-driven organisations by equipping them with practical tools to design, implement, and scale innovations that create societal value; Enable students to critically assess the impact of various innovations on sustainable development, using evidence-based frameworks to measure and communicate societal impact; Develop knowledge and skills in sustainable business models, social innovation, and policy frameworks, empowering students to contribute effectively to sustainability strategies in diverse sectors; Support a more comprehensive agenda for research in sustainable innovation by encouraging students to engage with emerging trends, interdisciplinary thinking, and cutting-edge tech nologies that contribute to long-term sustainability; Contribute to society by promoting sustainable and ethical innovation practices that can address pressing global issues such as climate change, inequality, and resource depletion; Attract students motivated to lead change in the sustainability landscape, fostering a new generation of professionals committed to creating positive societal and environmental impact; Embody an approach to learning that integrates theory with practice, encouraging hands-on, project-based learning to equip students to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.
