AHRC North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership (NWCDTP)

The University of Liverpool is part of the AHRC North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership (NWCDTP), an initiative which funded around 400 PhD students in the arts and humanities between 2014 – 2025.

The NWCDTP brings together the Universities of Liverpool, Keele, Lancaster, Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan, Salford and the Royal Northern College of Music.

The final cohort of NWCDTP students commence their studies in October 2025. There will be no future NWCDTP funding competitions, but the partnership will continue to provide training and support for its existing students until 2029.
