Postdocs and Fellows
The department is keen to support postdocs. Details of how to apply for British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships and Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships at Liverpool will appear here, but we welcome enquiries throughout the year from postdoctoral scholars interested in working with us from the UK or elsewhere.
We are also happy to support Wellcome Research Fellowships in the Humanities and Social Sciences and Newton International Fellowships. If you are interested in exploring funding opportunities for postdoctoral research with us at Liverpool, please contact our director of research, Dr Mark Towsey on email@example.com or approach a potential mentor directly.

Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowships
The University of Liverpool’s School of Histories, Languages & Cultures invites expressions of interest for the 2018 Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships scheme.
These awards aim to provide career development opportunities for early career researchers (less than five years since their doctoral viva) who have a proven record of research but have not held a full-time permanent academic post in the UK. They enable Fellows to undertake a significant piece of publishable work and should lead to a more permanent academic position. Further information, including eligibility criteria, can be found on the Leverhulme Trust website.
