Pre-Sessional English students
Living in University accommodation could be a great option if you will be studying a Pre-sessional English course on campus in Liverpool.
Our University residences are friendly places to live, offer excellent facilities, just a short commute to class, and you’ll be part of a diverse, vibrant student community. All University accommodation is in private single occupancy bedrooms.
There’s also plenty of excellent private rented accommodation in Liverpool. This could be ideal if your family will be coming with you to Liverpool while you study and you want to live with them.

6, 10 or 20 weeks
If you are joining a Pre-sessional English course of 6, 10 or 20 weeks and will be studying on campus, we can offer you University accommodation, with a contract tailored to your specific course length.
Selected rooms in Dover Court are reserved for Pre-sessional English students. This may be subject to change and alternative University accommodation may be offered in the future.
If you’re bringing your family to Liverpool while you study and wish to live with them, you will need to stay in private accommodation. You can contact Liverpool Student Homes, the only university-run private accommodation service in Liverpool, who will be happy to assist you.

12 weeks
The 12-week Pre-sessional English course is only available online and, as a result, no accommodation options are available.
30 or 40 weeks
If you’re joining a Pre-sessional English course of 30 or 40 weeks, we may be able to offer you University accommodation, with a contract tailored to your specific course length.

If you’re bringing your family to Liverpool while you study and wish to live with them, you will need to stay in private accommodation. You can contact Liverpool Student Homes, the only university-run private accommodation service in Liverpool, who will be happy to assist you.
If you will be studying on campus, you will be invited to apply for University accommodation once you have accepted the offer of a place on a Pre-sessional English course and received your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
Please note, the accommodation will only cover the duration of your Pre-sessional English course. If you need University accommodation for after your Pre-sessional English course finishes, as you progress onto your intended undergraduate, master’s or postgraduate research degree, you will need to apply for this separately and move rooms and/or halls at the end of your Pre-sessional English course.
