The School of Dentistry at the University of Liverpool has soared 12 places to sit 2nd in the UK in the Complete University Guide - Dentistry Subject League Table.
The subject ranking, which provides a comprehensive league table of 158 UK universities and conservatoires, places Liverpool top of the Russell Group, bettered only by the University of Dundee overall, as a place to study Dentistry in the UK.
The Complete University Guide Subject Rankings is an annual league table based on numerous factors, including programme standards, student satisfaction, research, and graduate prospects. Liverpool saw improvements across many of these areas, particularly graduate prospects, where it achieved a 100% score. This improvement highlights the School’s dedication to delivering a programme that gives graduates the greatest chance to pursue further education or secure employment.
The results draw on the National Student Survey (NSS), the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF), and the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
Professor Luke Dawson, Dean of the School of Dentistry, said,
“We are delighted with the significant improvement in our ranking. Moving up 12 places, reflects the dedication and effort that our academic, technical, NHS, and professional services staff put into the programme to ensure we provide the highest standards of education and student experience possible.”
