Research groups and networks

Our staff and postgraduate students work together in dynamic and supportive research groups that have common interests. Our staff also play an active role in a variety of interdisciplinary research centres within the Faculty of the Humanities and Social Sciences and beyond.

Most research-active staff in the department are affiliated with one or more of our research groups or networks:

• Media Histories
• Latin American Studies Network (LASN)
• Interdisciplinary Approaches to Memory (IAM) Network.

Our staff are also closely involved in the following research centres:

• Centre for the Study of International Slavery (CSIS)
• Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (CMRS)
• Eighteenth-Century Worlds Research Centre (ECW).
