Transgressive Border Dialogues
At a time of heightened tension around migration and border violence, this in-conversation series seeks to provide a platform for the discussion of the transnational construction of border landscapes, exposing the political, social, linguistic and cultural nature of bordering practices, both in the past and present. The format of the sessions brings two research projects into conversation with each other, to address a specific theme from different disciplinary, theoretical or methodological perspectives. This series has grown out of a symposium in 2025, entitled ‘Languages, Objects, Homes: Transnational Communities in Borderscapes’.
