Support for students from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)

Due to the recent tensions in the Middle East, we’re putting measures in place to support students from countries affected by the conflict who are commencing their studies in Liverpool from September 2026.

We’ll keep in touch between now and the start of term with any further updates. 

Late arrival and start dates

We strongly encourage you to arrive on campus in Liverpool for the start of term on 28 September 2026. However, to allow additional time for UKVI visa processing and travel arrangements, we’ve extended our latest possible start dates to:

  • Monday 12 October 2026 for undergraduate students
  • Monday 26 October 2026 for postgraduate students.  

Please note, you’re expected to be physically present on campus in Liverpool and actively attending lectures, seminars, and workshops by this date. 

Accessing academic content online 

If you anticipate arriving later than the start of term, you’ll be required to access some of your course content online between 28 September and your arrival date. This will ensure you remain up to date with your studies and can transition smoothly into on campus learning. Further details on accessing online materials will be provided closer to the start of term. 

Accelerated admissions and CAS statements 

To support timely registration, we’re prioritising the processing of applications, including the issuing of Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statements, for students from Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

If your exam timetable is affected or the issuing of transcripts has been delayed, we’ll also consider provisional or alternative forms of assessment, where appropriate, and will provide flexibility regarding the submission of final documentation. Please see further details regarding the exam boards we accept:
