Our legacy, our future
Founded with the establishment of Liverpool’s first medical school in 1834, our Faculty has been at the heart of pioneering healthcare and scientific innovation. We’ve trained generations of professionals - doctors, scientists, dentists, allied health practitioners, nurses, and veterinarians - who have improved lives across the world.
As we approach key milestones, including the University’s 150th anniversary in 2031 and the bicentenary of medical education in Liverpool in 2034, we are ready to do more.
Our vision
To be a global leader in biomedical and life sciences education and research, delivering innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transformative healthcare solutions.
