Raman Spectroscopy

Analogous with infra-red spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy is a vibrational spectroscopic technique that provides chemical information resolved down to the diffraction limit of light (<300 nm in some cases).

A wide range of samples, including measurement in aqueous conditions, can be analysed with minimal preparation and a wide range of measurement types available such as:

  • Time series: monitor how your sample is altering with time
  • Line scans/depth profile: profile your sample, both across the surface, or into its depth
  • Area mapping: generate images, either horizontally at fixed focus, following the surface topography, or from vertical slices
  • Volume scans: produce 3D views of your transparent sample's internal structure.‌
