You may wish to choose to continue living in University owned halls or search for an alternative. Whatever your decision, support and guidance is available throughout your time at the university.
LSH (Liverpool Student Homes) is the only University run private sector accommodation service in Liverpool, dedicated to helping you find accommodation outside of your University halls.

Looking for private rented accommodation?
If you are studying at the University of Liverpool and are looking for accommodation to rent privately from a landlord or letting agent, then make sure you do so through LSH.
Is Liverpool Student Homes a letting agent?
No. LSH is a free support service which is owned and managed by the University of Liverpool, LJMU, Liverpool Hope University and LIPA. LSH advertise the widest range of private student accommodation in Liverpool and also offer free, confidential housing rights advice.
Why go to LSH?
Liverpool Student Homes have an accreditation scheme in place and all landlords/agents who wish to advertise must ensure that accommodation meets the quality and safety criteria in the LSH Standards.
LSH also hold Housing Fairs each year, where you can meet over 40 landlords and agents face to face. This year’s fair will be at Mountford Hall in the Guild of Students on Wednesday November 28th.
What types of student accommodation do they have?
LSH advertises the largest selection of private student accommodation in Liverpool, including shared houses of all sizes, flats, private halls and studios, plus individual rooms in different property types. Please visit the Liverpool Student Homes website to search the property database. There is an oversupply of private accommodation in the city, so it is important NOT TO RUSH! Using the LSH website will allow you compare locations, price and facilities offered by over 200 landlords and agents in the city.

Housing advice drop-in sessions
LSH also offer free and confidential housing rights advice, and your property doesn’t need to be registered with LSH to access this service. You can contact their housing advisor Tom Chew on 07970 247209 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Tom is usually available for drop in consultations on Tuesdays at the Guild during term time between 9:30am-12:30pm, with afternoon drop-ins available from 1:30pm-4:30pm, but you can call to double check his availability. All advice given is free and confidential.
