Activities for schools
We regularly give talks in schools across Merseyside about future study and careers in science. We also offer tours to school groups of our cutting-edge lab facilities, and hands-on research activities that can be delivered on campus or in school.

Cancer awareness
Liverpool City Region has one of the highest cancer incidence rates in England, so it's important to us to raise awareness about the disease. We host focus groups where people who have been impacted by cancer can talk about their experiences. We also deliver engaging talks from guest speakers, including researchers and cancer survivors.

Merseyside Young Life Scientists
We welcome secondary school students interested in a scientific career, giving them a flavour of our research activity. During the summer, our labs host Year 12 students participating in Nuffield Research Placements.

Public and patient involvement
Our public and patient involvement panels provide the means for open collaboration between researchers and members of the public. Panels are open to anyone with first hand or family experience of a range of health conditions we're studying, to help influence and drive future research.

Public engagement
We welcome interest in our science and encourage participation in our public events, including Meet the Scientists, delivered in partnership with the Liverpool World Museum. There are a range of scientific activities available for all ages, open to anyone to get involved.
