Teacher with students in class

Activities for schools

We are committed to supporting teachers and career advisers who provide information and advice to their students about studying one of our subjects. As part of this commitment, we offer a range of activities, taster sessions and resources designed to give your students a realistic insight into what it's like to study here.

We can work with you to link content to your curriculum or give you a taste of what it is like to study Politics at University level.

COVID-19

We are always delighted to hear from schools and colleges who are interested in working with our Department of Politics. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we unfortunately cannot offer on-campus sessions at this moment in time. However please check out the online resources that we have created to keep classes excited to learn more about Politics and International Relations! We hope that you find these online resources beneficial and we look forward to providing face to face school sessions again soon.

Your students

By studying politics with us, students will find out about the theories and practices of power and governance, from local up to international level.

Taught by experts who regularly appear in the media to share their expertise, students will focus on power, citizenship, authority, conflict and cooperation in the world around us.

We offer a range of placements including an exciting opportunity to secure a placement with an MP at Westminster. Our graduates have been successful in areas such as broadcasting, journalism, the civil service, government, marketing, public relations and academia.
