About

I am an occupational therapist, and cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, with experience of working across a range of mental health settings and am particularly interested in the impact of physical health conditions on psychological well-being and trauma reactions following sudden life events such as accidents, cardiac arrest and cancer diagnosis. My teaching draws on this clinical and research background in mental health and social support interventions.
I have a particular interest in well-being and its relationship to health and engagement in both daily and leisure activities, in order to underpin the knowledge based and development of social prescribing interventions. I am always interested to hear from other clinicians or researchers that are interested in the relationship between physical and psychological well-being and our social environment.
