Chris Morris

My research focuses on the evolution of jazz recorded by musicians working in Britain during the 1960s. Historically an area of modest scholarly interest, during this decade jazz in Britain transformed from a largely derivative music, polarised as between traditional and modern subsets, to something with seemingly limitless variety.
