Our Masters degree programmes provide exciting opportunities to perfect your playing or increase your appreciation of how music is created, performed, produced, managed or marketed.

For 2017/18 we will be offering the following options, all of which are taught by internationally renowned subject experts and players:

Our unique structure and breath of expertise allow students to cross the traditional divides of musical genre. You can also tailor your programme with modules such as:

  • music industry studies
  • music and the city
  • music and heritage.

For your final dissertation you are free to research novel topics, under the friendly supervision of experts in fields as diverse as analysis, emotion and metaphor; music, memory and heritage; music and interactive media.

The University's Graduate school provides training in transferable skills such as research, presentation, networking and publishing. There is an award-winning careers service, as well as a full calendar of postgraduate events.
