The Human Cost of Counterinsurgency: An oral history of memory and identity among British soldiers during Operation Banner
Biography
I completed my undergraduate degree in History at the University of Liverpool. I then studied Modern History MLitt at the University of St Andrews. My MLitt dissertation analysed the relationships between Harold Wilson and Terence O’Neill during the outbreak of the Troubles.
Research Interests
My thesis explores themes of identity and memory among British soldiers who served in Northern Ireland. My research therefore broadly focus on oral history, memory studies and Operation Banner.
