The Tung Auditorium, the world-class concert hall based at the University of Liverpool’s Yoko Ono Lennon Centre, is now accepting applications from community music organisations across Merseyside for Affiliate status for the 2025–2027 academic years.
This exciting opportunity, open to two community organisations, offers access to professional-grade facilities and collaboration with the University’s Department of Music. The selected organisations will benefit from up to three concerts per year in The Tung Auditorium on a partnership basis.
Affiliates will be featured as official partners and included in the venue’s public event programme print and online publicity, they’ll be able to access to high-spec in-house technical equipment and backstage facilities on concert days as well as Box Office, Marketing, Front of House and Technical support.
In return, Affiliates are expected to publicise that they are an Affiliate of The Tung Auditorium and host at least one collaborative event per year involving the Department of Music, such as a concert alongside, or workshop with, students, supporting research or performing student compositions as a part of programming.
Application Process
Applications will follow a two-stage process, beginning with an Expression of Interest due by noon on Friday, 30 May 2025.
Please view the full Affiliate scheme information with full details of how to apply here.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a venue tour before submitting a final proposal.
Organisations are encouraged to demonstrate how affiliation will support their growth and suggest innovative ways to contribute to University life.
The Tung Auditorium and the Department of Music particularly welcome applications from groups under-represented in the arts and academia.
