Vid Simoniti and Fiona Shields on the ethics and aesthetics of war photography at Open Eye, 1 May

Published on

To accompany Open Eye Gallery’s No Iconic Images exhibition, Open Eye is hosting a one-day symposium On War Photography bringing together experts in photography and media from the UK and Europe.

As part of the event, philosophy’s Vid Simoniti and Fiona Shields (chief photography editor at The Guardian) will discuss the ethics and aesthetics of war in the global journalism and media.

Vid frequently works with Open Eye, most recently partnering with the gallery as part of his AHRC-funded project Through the Eyes of the Displaced.
