    Personal Statement

Born and completed my Master's degree (gold medallist) in Pakistan. After working in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry for 5 years, I started my PhD at the University of Tokyo and completed my degree in March 2005 in Chemistry with specialisation in Chemical Biology. Japan is a wonderful country, a homogenous blend of old and new culture, traditions and technology. In Sep. 2007, I came to UK and joined the Centre for Cell Imaging of the Institute of Integrative Biology. These days I am deeply involved in drug discovery and translational research at the NIHR Liverpool Pancreas Biomedical Research Unit (PBRU). Moreover, I manage state-of-the-art confocal microscopy and also give training and helping students and researchers for imaging live and fixed cells and tissues on the confocal microscopy at the PBRU.Laboratories of the NIHR Liverpool Pancreas Biomedical Research Unit
