Self funded positions
Get in touch if you have access to your own funding and wish to tackle relevant research questions as part of our group.
PhD students will need to cover their University tuition fees, lab research costs, plus day-to-day living costs for 4 years.
Postdoctoral researchers will need to cover their salary and lab research costs, typically through a fellowship.

- Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships
- Royal Society Newton International Fellowships
- Royal Society Career Development Fellowships
- UKRI Future Leaders Fellowships.
Summer placements
We are open to hosting summer lab placements for second or third-year BSc students – please get in touch if you are interested. Placements can either be unfunded, typically shadowing a member of the group as they conduct their research, or funded through external schemes such as those offered by the British Pharmacological Society or British Toxicology Society. Application deadlines for these external funding schemes are typically in spring.
