Professor Sandra Walklate - Editor in Chief (elect) of the British Journal of Criminology
Professor Sandra Walklate, currently Head of Department of SSPC, has been appointed as Editor in Chief (elect) of the British Journal of Criminology, post to be taken up with effect from 1st January 2014. This journal was ranked 5th in the world by SSCI (2011) of all criminology and penology journals and has a 2011 impact factor of 2.13. It is the highest ranked criminology journal in the UK. In taking up this role Sandra will be following in the footsteps of a number of eminent UK social scientists and looks forward to meeting both the challenges and the opportunities this presents for the further enhancement of criminology both in the U.K. and elsewhere.
