About
Personal Statement
I have worked at the University of Liverpool since 1998. I am interested in methodological research in the areas of clinical trials and evidence synthesis, particularly meta-analysis of individual participant data (IPD). I thoroughly enjoy working with clinical colleagues on collaborative projects including clinical trials in epilepsy, paediatrics and cancer, and systematic reviews across a wide range of clinical areas. I am co-convenor for the Cochrane statistical methods group, and until recently statistical editor for the Cochrane epilepsy group. I am co-theme lead for the later phase trials theme of the MRC funded North West Hub for Trials Methodology Research, and co-lead for the evidence synthesis working group for the Hubs for Trials Methodology Research Network. I am Director of Studies for the on-line Masters in Clinical Research in partnership with Laureate on-line education.
