Policy CoLab

We are a collaborative research group whose main goals are 1) to understand different forms of exploitation covered under the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 8.7, including human trafficking and modern slavery, and 2) to support effective action to prevent and stop these through improved policy and practice.

Our objectives

  • Enhance understanding of the general structural, political, economic and social issues related to different forms of exploitation.
  • Support greater equity and inclusion, particularly for those with lived experience, in the research process
  • Influence policy priorities through the production of high quality evidence.
  • Enable evidence-based decisionmaking through regular engagement with stakeholders
