Professional activities
As Learning and Development Lead for the Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ Mental Health Network, I contribute to the identification of professional learning priorities and the development of continuing professional development for occupational therapists across the UK. I have designed and delivered training for NHS services on MOHO, occupational assessment, formulation and clinical reasoning.
I lead the University’s interprofessional student Schwartz Rounds, chairing the Faculty steering group and overseeing their delivery and development. I also collaborate with colleagues at other universities on approaches to supporting Schwartz Round delivery. The Liverpool initiative received an Advance HE Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence and a Sir Alastair Pilkington Award in 2026.
I contribute to scholarly and professional communities through journal peer review, conference abstract review and membership of the wider Editorial Advisory Board of Developing Academic Practice. Within the University, I contribute to curriculum review, interprofessional learning and academic assessment and recognition activities.
