When and how can I study?
You can start in any year of study, in Semester 1 or 2, and there is a range of levels available depending on the language that you study (A1 to B2).
Regardless of the study mode, all Open Languages modules are delivered via weekly 2-hour seminars on campus, usually scheduled 6-8 pm, and supported with asynchronous materials on Canvas.
If taken as an optional/elective module, there is no extra fee to pay, and assessment is mandatory - you need to pass your tests to get your credits!
If taken as extracurricular, there is a fee per module - £190 full fee or £95 for recipients of the Liverpool Bursary- and assessment is optional. A certificate of engagement is awarded to extracurricular students with at least 70% attendance.
