Welcome to the School of Histories, Languages and Cultures: The Essentials
Transitioning to university can be both challenging and exciting. This session will cover essential resources and expectations for students, beginning with a welcome talk from the Dean of School and an introduction to key staff. You'll learn about student support, the student voice, careers, and employability opportunities, as well as managing time effectively, taking ownership of your work, and understanding available support. This session is designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools for a smooth and successful transition to university life.
This session is for new ACE and History undergraduate students, and ACE, History and Politics postgraduate students studying a programme within the School of Histories, Languages and Cultures.

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences UG Welcome Talk
This session will provide a welcome from the Vice Chancellor and Director of Student Experience here at the University of Liverpool. Hear about the different things you can get involved in during your time here, and the services available to you across the University.

History Welcome Talk and City of Liverpool Walking Tour
Meet key staff within the Department to find out all there is to know about studying history at the University of Liverpool. An induction talk will be followed by a self-directed walking tour exploring the connections between our staff’s research and Liverpool's rich history.
This session is compulsory for all new students studying History at single honours, joint honours or as a major subject.
