What are Committee Lay Members
Lay members are non-University employees and play a vital role in the governance of the University, bringing expertise and independent perspectives from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds.
University Committee Lay Members are unremunerated, but may have reasonable expenses incurred while fulfilling their duties reimbursed. What constitutes reasonable expenses is defined in the University’s Expenses Policy.
How to Submit an Expression of Interest (Governance team vacancies only)

To submit a formal expression of interest:
- Please complete the following personal statement template and submit to governance@liverpool.ac.uk, along with a copy of your CV, by the deadline given above.
- Please also complete the following University Equalities Monitoring Form and submit direct to equality@liverpool.ac.uk
