The University’s internal reuse platform, Warp It, is being upgraded to provide a faster, more user-friendly experience and introduce a range of new features.
When is the upgrade happening?
Warp It will undergo a major upgrade between 8 and 9 August. Some temporary disruption may also occur on 7 August and 10 August while the upgrade is completed.
Why is Warp It being upgraded?
The upgrade will deliver a faster, more user-friendly platform and introduce new features, including AI-generated listings created automatically from photos.
What will change?
Warp It will retain the core functionality users are familiar with, including built-in guidance, helpful prompts, and informative messaging, but with a refreshed, intuitive design.
There should be very little learning curve for existing users, but Warp It is offering a training session for anyone who would like an introduction to the new platform. This will be recorded for those unable to attend.
What happens to my account?
No action is required. All accounts will be migrated automatically, and you will continue to log in as usual.
Your existing listings, claims, wish lists, and account information will remain available after the upgrade.
How do I manage Warp It notifications?
In the current platform:
1. Visit www.warp-it.co.uk/liverpool and sign in using Single Sign On (SSO).
2. Select Notification Centre from the left-hand menu.
3. Choose Control Notifications.
4. Update your preferences and select Save Changes.
The upgraded platform will include an improved notifications and messaging system, making it easier to manage how often you receive updates.

Since the University adopted Warp It during Sustainability Week in February 2025, it has helped prevent more than 50 tonnes of waste, saved over 200 tonnes of CO₂e emissions, and retained more than £400,000 of value through reuse.
We hope this upgrade will make Warp It even easier to use and help continue to grow reuse across campus
