I'm a sociolinguist working at the Department of English, University of Liverpool. My publications have explored issues including politics of English, sociolinguistics of tourism, multilingualism, and, more recently, language and food, language and race, language and social media.

My current project examines language and race in UK higher education and is funded by Leverhulme Research Fellowship.
