Dr Matt Murphy attended the 9th Annual CDIO Conference held at Harvard & MIT, Cambridge, MA

CDIO (Conceive -Design-Implement-Operate) is an innovative international educational framework, working with global industry to reform engineering education and produce the next generation of engineers.

CDIO is a collaboration of 104 universities and global industry from 39 countries on 6 continents working together.

Dr Murphy was elected CDIO Chair of the UK & Ireland Regional Collaborators Group and was also elected onto the International Governing Council.

The University of Liverpool School of Engineering is leading the UK's involvement in the international CDIO initiative, working closely with the engineering industry to produce the next generation of engineers with real world skills and practical abilities. 

Our Liverpool Engineer students have previously been awarded the CDIO cup for the best idea at the 2011 international CDIO Rethink City Idea Challenge competition.
