Hele-Shaw flow, crucial in fluid mechanics, was even named after our School founder - Professor Henry Hele-Shaw. Today, Liverpool Engineers across our four departments continue to power global change. Rated 6th in the UK for our outstanding research impact, we are advancing Industry 4.0 through Additive Manufacturing, tackling pressing challenges in space research, leading biomedical breakthroughs and much more. Our hands-on and collaborative approach to teaching fosters these high standards in our students, equipping them to lead the impactful innovations of the future. Whether its working with partners on urban farming or natural building techniques - we believe you learn best by doing. You can find our students transforming plastic waste into products in the award-winning Active Learning Labs or testing sustainable dam solutions in the water flumes.
