Inspire
We aim to promote data careers to secondary school pupils with hands-on experiences, and help create the next generation of data scientists.
Our Inspire pillar is currently our most progressed pillar, and we've been hosting various schools across Liverpool. Working with the charity IntoUniversity, schools are invited to attend a programming and coding workshop on the University of Liverpool campus.
In these workshops, students learn the about history of programming, particularly highlighting female programmers, and programmers from diverse backgrounds.
The students can then use micro:bits and Lego robots to learn to code, and we challenge them to make their very own Lego robot program.
This year alone, we've already engaged with 112 students in the Liverpool area!
