Embedding data scientists into NHS clinical teams

Enhance focuses on fostering multidisciplinary collaboration between NHS clinical teams and Biomedical Data Science (BMDS) teams.

We’ve embedded both junior and senior Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) into different clinical teams to support data-driven research. This initiative not only strengthens clinical outcomes but also supports the skill development and career progression of our RTPs.

We're now embedded RTPs in Alder Hey Children's Hospital, the Liverpool Women's Hospital, and the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

So far we’ve collaborated on 1 journal paper, 4 grant applications, 6 conference presentations, 1 PhD fellowship application and 1 audit.
