Junior clinical roles
Integrated Clinical Academic Training (ICAT) at Liverpool provides focused support for the training of the brightest and most promising clinical academic researchers at all stages of their careers.
From Academic Foundation posts through to National Institute of Health Research Academic Clinical Fellows, Clinical Research Training and Clinician Scientist Fellowships plus NIHR Clinical Lecturers, the University supports excellence at all levels of medical, dental, nursing and Allied Health Professional (AHP) careers.
ICAT is a programme of training and support, designed for:
- Clinical (medical and dental) trainees undertaking academic careers
- Allied Health Professional (AHP) trainees undertaking academic careers supported by the NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic programme.
Funded by the NIHR and in partnership with Health Education England - North West (HENWE), our ICAT programme allows our medical and dental trainees to undertake research alongside their clinical training.
