Meet the Newsletter Team 2025!
This academic year, Yumi, Morgan, and Emily will be bringing you the seasonal Chemistry newsletter.
Hi I’m Yumi, a Year 3 BSc Chemistry student at University of Liverpool. Studying here has been one of the best choices I’ve made. Throughout my journey, I have gained wide range of practical and theoretical skills that have really prepared me for the future. I was nervous at first but the support from lecturers and demonstrators made a huge difference. They are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help us all the time. The modules are well-structured and continuously improved based on student feedback, your voice really does matter!!! It’s a really welcoming and encouraging environment to study in!
Hi I’m Morgan. I am studying Chemistry at Liverpool. Writing for the newsletter was a perfect fit as I had helped set up a college newspaper before coming to Uni. As a contributor, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the wonderful academics that make our department so welcoming and to attend networking and social events. As interesting as chemistry is, my favourite thing about the course are the people on it.
Hi, I’m Emily, and I’m currently in my first year studying Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Liverpool. My interest in chemistry is inspired by it’s role in translating medicines, creating life-changing drugs for patients benefit. Studying in Liverpool has given me the opportunity to explore this passion further. One of the highlights of Uni so far is joining the Newsletter team. I love being part of a team that shares engaging departmental news, student stories, and much more with our community. Being involved with the newsletter has allowed me to combine my love of chemistry with creativity and teamwork, which has been really rewarding.
