About

Personal Statement

After graduating from the University of Liverpool's Management School, I started my career in Further Education, working as a Universities and Careers Adviser. I then moved on to working in Higher Education in Ireland, where I advised international students on their study, progression and visa options, as well as managing the administration for an MBA programme. Since then, I have been self-employed working to restore an 18th Century building; I still maintain an active profile of buy-to-let properties.

I later moved back to working in Education as a Student Adviser at a top performing Further Education College, where I was focused on employability. This skillset lead me to working at Liverpool John Moores University as an Enterprise Education Officer, where I help students and staff become more entrepreneurial, as well as carrying out research projects. I perform this role on a part time basis, alongside my role at the University of Liverpool.

At the moment, i'm working towards my Masters in Education, where I have the opportunity to learn more about the key theories of education and innovation in education, which in turn is informing my professional practice.
