    Personal Statement

    Dr Antic received his veterinary degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 2003. He obtained MSc and PhD in Food Safety from the University of Novi Sad, Department of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He pursued a career in Academia, working as a Teaching Assistant and Assistant Professor in University of Novi Sad, from 2004 to 2014. He has been Diplomat of the European College of Veterinary Public Health, subspecialty Food Science, since 2013. Currently, he is appointed Senior lecturer in Veterinary Public Health in The Institute of Veterinary Science, University of Liverpool. He has co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications on meat safety and veterinary public health. His main research interests include Risk assessment of public health hazards, meat inspection, hygiene of meat and meat products and safety assurance systems.
